Submit the New Student Application for the 2023-2024 academic year or contact Madalene Baird if you are interested in transfering immediately. There is no fee for this step. Please note that transfer students will need to submit the following documents with the application or within two days of applying:
Students applying to 10th-12th grades: copy of high school transcript
Students with an IEP, ISP, or 504: please obtain a copy of this documentation for submission
These documents can be uploaded on the application form, emailed to mbaird@thewwcs.com, or submitted at the school office within two days of applying. No photos are allowed, scans only.
TEACHER RECOMMENDATION: Please complete this form to request a recommendation from your child’s teacher within two days of applying. For grades 6-12, please send this to at least two teachers of core subjects such as reading and math. We require this as part of our admissions process to determine if we will be able to meet the needs of the applicant and to facilitate a smooth transition with an in depth understanding of the student.
Once all documentation has been received, each new family will be invited to interview with our Principal, Mr. Lesko. Students in grades 6-12 should attend this meeting. After meeting, additional requests for documentation or a shadow day may be made prior to acceptance.
After the interview and/or evaluation is completed (if needed), you will be notified if this student has been accepted by Walla Walla Catholic Schools and an enrollment packet will be emailed to you, which includes the following:
Making your Family Service Program selection.
Agreeing to abide by the WWCS Parent & Student Expectations & Diocesan Code of Conduct
Providing Emergency, Medical, & Insurance Information
Providing Sacramental Information (if applicable)
Agreeing to pay the NON-REFUNDABLE Enrollment Fee of $250 per family. Unless you choose to make a payment prior to July 2023, this fee and other applicable registration fees will be added to your first tuition payment.
Set up Payment Plan & Sign Tuition Contract: Enrollment is NOT complete and a place is not reserved until the tuition agreement has been signed. We ask that all new families schedule a brief meeting with our Business Manager, Edie Mulvihill, to review these terms prior to signing the agreement.
ONBOARDING
Prior to the first day of school, there are a few more steps needed for a successful start to the year.
It is important that you submit the following documents:
All Catholic students at Assumption need to submit a copy of their Baptismal Certificate
Kindergarten applicants will need to submit copies of: ○ His/her birth certificate (unless submitted at ELC) ○ Updated vaccination record.
These documents can be emailed (scans only, no photos) to rrivera@thewwcs.com or submitted at the Assumption office.
At any time, you can check out our Family Resources Page for more information, but we will also be sending out updated supply lists, calendars, and Back to School Information over the summer.
Before the first day of school we will host a Orientation evening for all families. We strongly encourage you to attend this event to meet new families, our staff members, and receive details about all the school programs we have to offer.
When each step of the enrollment process is completed in a timely manner it saves our administration much valuable time, which is the reason we can offer the discount of $100 off your enrollment fee prior to May 2023. Of course many circumstances can impact the recommended timeframe and, therefore, we may grant extensions for extenuating circumstances or if a delay is caused by something on our end of the process.
Please complete the following within two days of applying to the school:
Submit all documentation (if applicable) requested for application (highschool transcripts, IEP or 504 documentation)
Complete Teacher Recommendation Request Form(s)
Sign Tuition Contract or apply to Tier 2 Financial Aid within 7 days of receipt
Kindergarten Students: Complete evaluation by May 31st, 2023
