The performing arts are alive and well at DeSales! 

Band
The DeSales Band has had a rich tradition since our school opened.  Under the direction of Mr. Phil Lynch, our band members learn everything from basic instrumentation to music theory.  Students are taught to use their skills on a variety of instruments.  Band activities include pep band, athletic events, concerts and more.

Theatre Arts
The Theatre Arts program was started many years ago by dedicated instructors when DeSales was first established in the 1960s, continuing through Mrs. Cheryl Stulick's directing talents for over 20 years, and now led by Mr. Eric Rohde since 2010.  We typically perform 1-2 shows per year and all plays are open to all DeSales students regardless of experience. 

All actors that audition are cast in the show!  We have produced plays that have anywhere from 30 actors to 15 actors.  All student shave the ability to shine whether on stage, stage managing, running lights, managing the sound, props, stage crew, hair/makeup of costuming.  There is a place for everyone in our plays!  In addition, our sets are all constructed by Mr. Rohde's Theatre Arts class where they learn about stagecraft for the theatre.  In addition to our mainstage plays, the theatre arts class also produces an evening of one acts or a children's play every year.
