We believe that children are unique individuals created in the image of God, with varying abilities, interests, and background experiences. This means we educate the whole child. Our grade school students participate in band, choir, art, play sports, run in miles club, hold food and diaper drives for St. Vincent de Paul, and collect money for our sister diocese in Guatemala. Assumption students learn how to raise and lower the flag properly, read at Mass, clean the cafeteria after lunch, wait tables at parish events, and work together as a community. All while maintaining high academic standards for all students, not just a select few, including over 80% of 3rd graders placing in the top quartile in national assessments of math, reading, and language arts in 2016, and a 2015 victory at the all-city Math Team tournament. At Assumption parents have an active role in the school through decision making, volunteering, and serving on various boards and committees. We offer your child a nurturing environment, academic excellence, and an anchor of stability in a society of changing values. Assumption school is a place where students are passionate and responsible for their faith journey, academic growth, physical development, and social and emotional growth.
